The big return of Zac Efron as a wrestling star of the 1980s, facing the star actor of The Bear.

The Iron Clawdirected by Sean Durkin (The Nest) is the next biopic stamped A24, tracing the spectacular career of the three Von Erich brothers in the world of wrestling in the early 1980s. Kevin (Zac Efron), David (Harris Dickinson) and Kerry (Jeremy Allen White) are three brothers united in glory and adversity, coached by their own father Fritz (Holt McCallany). Blood, sweat and tears will be shed.

How Zac Efron Transformed His Body for Baywatch

The trailer reveals all the typical elements of a sports biopic: rigor, discipline, glory and excess. We discover the impressive physical transformation of Jeremy Allen Whiterevealed in the series The Bear – Efron was already very muscular since the film adaptation of Baywatch, which he shot with The Rock. At their side, Lily James also appears in the cast.

A24 once again takes on a pop subject, wrestling, in a very fashionable period, the 80s, to make a film promising a certain auteur style, which made the independent studio famous.

The Iron Claw will be released in theaters on February 14, 2024.
