The Last of Us makes a first raid on the Emmy Awards

Last night in Los Angeles, alongside the Golden Globes, the HBO series won 8 awards during the Creative Arts Emmys, including Best Guest Actor for Nick Offerman.

It was time for Golden Globes this weekend, in the USA. But also Emmy Awards ! Due to the writers’ strike last summer, the 2023 ceremony could not take place as planned. It was postponed to the beginning of the year. Thus, the Creative Arts, the pre-ceremony awarding the secondary statuettes (mainly technical), were held Saturday and Sunday evening in Los Angeles. For this 75th edition, The Last of Us made a splash, with 8 awards in total, including Best Special Effects and especially two acting awards for Best Actor and Best Guest Actress (present in 1 episode) for Nick Offerman And Storm Reid.

The White Lotus And The Bear are the other winners of the evening, leaving with four trophies (including Best Drama and Comedy Casting), as well as Wednesday which won the prize for Best Opening Music.

In the rest of the list, we can note that Sam Richardson won the statuette for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy for his appearance in Ted Lasso.

The Simpsons wins the Emmy for Best Animated Series.

Weird, the story of Al Yankovicwith Daniel Radcliffe, won the prize for Best TV Film.

The main ceremony of Emmy Awards 2024 will be broadcast next Saturday, January 13.
