The Marvel Universe mourns Kenneth Mitchell, dead at 49
The actor played Carol Danvers’ father in the film Captain Marvel.
He made a brief appearance in the Marvel Universe, but will remain in the annals of the MCU as the father of Captain Marvel : the actor Kenneth Mitchell died at the age of 49 from complications related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, otherwise known as Charcot’s disease.
In the 2019 film, Mitchell played Joseph Danvers, little Carol’s dad.
He is also known for playing several Klingon characters in the series. Star Trek: Discovery.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Alexander Mitchell, beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, son and friend“, announced his family. “For five and a half years, Ken faced a series of terrible challenges related to ALS. And in true Ken fashion, he managed to rise above everyone with grace and commitment, to live a full and joyful life in every moment. He lived by the principle that every day is a gift and we never walk alone.”
