The new Mean Girls look trashier than ever
The remake of the cult comedy which revealed Lindsay Lohan should push the cursors a little further.
THE Mean Girls of 2004 would certainly be harassed by those of 2024! Twenty years later, Tina Fey wrote a remake of the cult comedy, the one that revealed Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. And she wanted to bring the school joke up to date. The least we can say is that it’s pretty creepy. The final trailer promises a particularly ferocious killing game:
The times have changed, but the story is the same: “A new student, Cady Heron finds herself rubbing shoulders with the elite of the social food chain, the popular girls called “The Plastics”, led by their queen Regina George and her minions Gretchen and Karen.
It is Angourie Rice (crossed in Mare of Easttown) who will play the news Lolita in question, while Renee Rapp will be the new queen of high school and Baby Wood And Avantika Vandanapu his acolytes.
“Cady has a crush on Aaron (Christopher Briney), she doesn’t immediately realize that she has just made a big mistake, her new best friend will quickly turn into an enemy. Cady will decide to overthrow the established order with the “helps her loser friends, Janis (Auli’i Cravalho) and Damian (Jaquel Spivey), to stay true to herself while making her way through the unforgiving jungle of high school.”
