The new Star Wars series from the perspective of the Empire: trailer

Tales of the Empire will tell the Dark Side through Morgan Elsbeth and former Jedi Barriss Offee…

You've never explored the Dark Side like this. Disney has just revealed the trailer for Star Wars: Tales of the Empirea brand new series that will tell the Far Far Away Galaxy from the point of view of the Empire, through a few animated short films in the style of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.

“Travel to the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors with divergent paths: the Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth and the former Jedi Barriss Offee“, we read in the synopsis of the series. The video shows how Morgan Elsbeth, very present in live action in the recent series Ahsoka, changed, the day his people were massacred. At the same time, we see how Ahsoka Tano's former friend, Barriss Offee – a character well known to fans of the series Clone Wars – became an Inquisitor of the Empire, after being taken prisoner and returned.

The images reveal some choice guest stars, notably General Grivious, who will make a spectacular comeback, and also Darth Vader will be there.

“As Tales of the Jedi were talking about Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, Tales of the Empire will focus on previously unseen events in the lives of the characters featured.”

Among the voice actors, Diana Lee Inosanto will take the role of Morgan Elsbeth, Meredith Salenger that of Barriss Offee, Rya Kihlstedt will be Lyn, aka the Fourth Sister, Wing T. Chao will play WingLars Mikkelsen will overtake Admiral Thrawn again, Jason. Isaacs will play The Grand Inquisitor and Matthew Wood will General Grievous.

The series was created by Dave Filoniwho also serves as supervising director and executive producer alongside Athena Yvette Portillo and Carrie Beck.
