The next season of Doctor Who has an air date!
The 14th Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwa, will meet us in May on Disney +.
A week ago, Doctor Who fans were able to see the new Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa reprise his role as Ken alongside Ryan Gosling for a song. But now that the Barbie page seems to have been definitively turned, we are impatiently awaiting the arrival of the new regeneration on the small screen.
After the musical Chrismas Special broadcast on December 25, and introducing Ncuti Gatwa as the successor of Jodie Whittaker And David Tennant (among others), we finally know when the first two episodes of the next season of the flagship BBC series will be broadcast. The British network invites fans to book on May 11 at midnight on BBC iPlayer. In reality, the episodes will be accessible on Disney + a few hours before, specifies Variety.
The BBC accompanied this announcement with a new short teaser published on social networks. We see Ncuti Gatwa interacting with Millie Gibson, aka Ruby Sunday, his on-screen partner. Images that promise spectacular action and a lot of humor, carried by the boundless energy of the actor revealed by Sex Education.
Remember that according to the official synopsis, “this season of Doctor Who follows the Doctor and Ruby Sunday on endless adventures across time and space in the TARDIS. From the British Regency to war-shattered futures, the duo harness the forces of good while encountering incredible new friends and dangerous foes.”
This season will also feature Jonathan Groff, Anita Dobson, Aneurin Barnard, Angela Wynter, Lenny Rush and Michelle Greenidge.
Before the May 10 appointment, an official trailer is planned for March 22.
