The OA reveal will play young Dexter in new series

Patrick Gibson will take over the cult role played by Michael C Hall for 9 seasons.

Yes Dexter will come back but no, it will not be the continuation of Dexter: New Bloodthe mini-series broadcast in 2021. We will not see what happens to Harrison, the son of Dexter. On the other hand, we will discover the young years of the serial killer in Dexter: Original Sina new spin-off series which will take the form of a prequel.

Patrick Gibsonrevelation of The O.A.then crossed in Shadow and Bone (on Netflix) has just landed the leading role and will therefore play the young Dexter Morgan in his twenties, in the footsteps of Michael C. Hall.

The 29-year-old actor will play the student boy, “in 1991 Miami, 15 years before the original series, as Dexter goes from student to vengeful serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. Under the guidance of his father, Harry, he adopts a code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on the radar of law enforcement.”

Christian Slater (Mr Robot) will reprise the role of Harry, Dexter's adoptive father, played by James Remar in the original series. And Molly Brown (Billions) will play Debra, Dexter's sister, originally played by Jennifer Carpenter.

Dexter: Original Sin will make 10 episodes and will be broadcast on Paramount + in France.
