The release of Kraven the Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, is postponed

Instead of releasing this summer, Sony's new Marvel film will be released at the end of the year.

Initially scheduled for 2023, then postponed due to the actors' strike, and after the recent flop of Madame Web and the two previous films dedicated to Spider-Man super villains – Venom And MorbiusKraven the Hunter was to continue the spin-off saga for August 30, 2024. But at the risk of disappointing spectators, a new version of the calendar postpones the release of the blockbuster by a few more months.

The Sony studios in charge of the production recently announced that Kraven the Hunter will ultimately no longer be released this summer as initially planned, but rather for the end-of-year holidays. In the United States, the film will be released on December 13, 2024. As for France, no date has been revealed, but there is no doubt that this change will also affect its distribution here.

Featuring Aaron Taylor-Johnson – seen recently in The Fall Guy – in the skin Sergei Kravinov, better known under the name of “Kraven the Hunter”the film must return to the origins of the Spider-Man's enemy.

In the (very bloody) trailer revealed almost a year ago, the flashbacks showed how this bestial character with superhuman resistance had managed to acquire the strength of a lion. Treated as an anti-hero rather than a supervillain, for the actor, Kraven is not “neither an alien nor a wizard. He's a very, very cool character.”
