The return of Will Smith is confirmed, he will soon play a Sugar Bandits

A new thriller for the actor, who has not released anything since Emancipation on Apple TV+.

He is slowly continuing his exit from Hollywood purgatory after his slap at Chris Rock. Will Smith is running at the moment Bad Boys 4. And while waiting I am Legend 2the American actor has just signed up for Sugar Banditsa new thriller that does not yet have a director (after the departure of Joe Carnahan).

The project is only in development but we know that Will Smith will play “a former special forces soldier who joins an elite vigilante squad aiming to take down the drug trade in Boston, but quickly learns that things are not what they seem...”

Sugard Bandits will have a budget of around $80 million and is based on the 2010 novel titled The Devils in Exile by Chuck Hogan. The latter also wrote the screenplay for the film.
