The Roman series Those About To Die unveils an impressive trailer

The construction of the Colosseum and its challenges for Anthony Hopkins in the role of Emperor Vespasian: one of the summer events on Prime Video.

When Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After) attacks the Roman Empire, it is not to do dusty archaeology. The German filmmaker will plunge us into the heart of a great epic series, visually impressive, with Those About To Diewhose official trailer has just been revealed (below).

Created by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Robert Rodat (Private Ryan) and inspired by the book by Daniel P. Mannix, the series tells the story of ancient Rome, just after Jesus Christ, while those in power struggle not to be overthrown by the people. The official synopsis details : “Rome in 79 AD: The center of the Roman Empire is the richest city in the world, and there is a massive influx of slaves from the expanding empire to take over the The Roman population – bored, restless and increasingly violent – is kept in line mainly by two things: free food and spectacular entertainment, in the form of chariot races and gladiator fights. The 10 episodes of Those About To Die will be available on July 19 in France.
