The Snow Circle: one of the survivors gives his opinion on the Netflix film
“Thanks to this film, you will really understand what we went through…”
One of the most beautiful films of the start of 2024 can be seen on Netflix. The Snow Circle, by Juan Antonio Bayona, tells the moving story of the crash of plane 571 in the Andes Mountains in 1972, which cost the lives of 29 people, most of whom were players on a Uruguayan university rugby team. There are 16 of them who survived two months of hell in these mountains. A drama told several times on the big or small screen. But fifty years later, the real Fernando Parrado (played by Agustín Pardella in the film) explains that The Snow Circle is the film that best reflects what really happened there.

The Uruguayan survivor lost his mother and sister in the accident. But he confides in the video that he is much more than a survivor of this tragedy. Nando says that in 5 decades, his life has not only revolved around the crash. And ultimately, if people have to “thinking of us through this film, it’s up to them to create their own version of the miracle.”
