Ten years after signing his most personal work with The wind picks up, Hayao Miyazaki created a surprise by finally releasing a new animated film. The latest in the exemplary career of the filmmaker behind Princess Mononoke Or Spirited away ?

In any case, the Japanese director signs a new story mixing heroism, natural elements and strange poetry with The Boy and the Heron. It is clearly a question of transmission with this story of a teenager who lost his mother, and who will discover life in the countryside, whereas until now he lived in the middle of Tokyo. By moving, he will also face a strange world. “Mahito, would you like to continue my work?”says one of the key characters of the film in this new montage in VOST: a gray heron who promises to help him unravel the mysteries of the world around him.
