The Terror announces its return with a season 3 for 2025

Devil in Silver will take place in the present day in a psychiatric hospital.

Five years later, we plunge back into terror. AMC Networks has given the green light to the third installment of its horror anthology series The Terrorthe first two seasons of which were broadcast in spring 2018 and summer 2019 (on Prime Video in France).

After the ice floe in 1845 and the American-Japanese camps during the Second World War, The Terror will adapt the novel by Victor LaValle, The Devil in Silver (2012).

Season 3 will take place in a contemporary setting and will therefore be called The Terror: Devil in Silver and will tell the story of “Pepper, a working-class mover who, through a combination of bad luck and bad tempers, finds himself wrongly committed to New Hyde Mental Hospital, an institution filled with people society would rather forget… Pepper navigates a hellscape where nothing is what it seems. He discovers that the only path to freedom is to confront the entity that feeds on suffering within the walls of New Hyde.”

No casting has been announced, but Chris Cantwell (Halt and Catch Fire) and Victor LaValle will serve as executive producers.

The writer rejoices: “Devil in Silver is a horror story based on everything I’ve seen and also a love letter to the resilience of the human spirit. I feel so lucky that Christopher Cantwell agreed to help me tell this story. His gifts for empathy, humor and tragedy have only enriched our story.

The Terror: Devil in Silver will consist of six episodes. Released in 2025.
