Often told in the cinema, notably in the film The Conjuring 2, the story of the Enfield Case will be deciphered in the most realistic way possible, with the real recordings of the time, glued to a chilling reconstruction.

This is one of the most famous mystical affairs. The Enfield Case with its horrible Poltergeist, who terrorized a London family in the heart of the 1970s, has still not been scientifically elucidated. So was there really a demon or a ghost in this house? If you believe in unexplained news stories, you will love the docuseries The Enfield Poltergeist.

This new four-part documentary series will replay the true story, through an astonishing reconstruction. Using more than 250 hours of rare audio archives, the production had the idea of ​​meticulously staging the circumstances of the time, punctuated by interviews with people linked to the case. “The series transcends genres and explores the human fascination with the unexplained and its impact on those who experience it.”

The Enfield Case dates from 1977. “An ordinary family living in a haunted house in Enfield, a district of London, is making headlines across the UK, spreading fear among an entire generation of children. This mysterious case has forever changed the perception of supernatural phenomena and the idea that they only occur in castles and grand mansions. Quite the contrary, they can be experienced by anyone, anywhere.”

Apple specifies that this chilling story has since inspired numerous fictionalized versions of the case, including the film Conjuring 2: The Enfield Casedirected by James Wan and released in 2013.

“Over the course of four episodes, the series reconstructs the events of Enfield based on recordings from the time of Maurice Grosse, a paranormal investigator who archived all his interviews with those affected by the phenomenon. Inside “a replica of the house where the incidents took place, actors replay the content of the recordings, thus creating an interaction between the voices of the archives and the appearances of the people concerned by the case, through recent interviews.”

All episodes of Enfield Poltergeist will be available on Friday October 27, 2023.
