This is what Middle Man by Michel Hazanavicius was supposed to be about, with Éric and Ramzy as superheroes

The film ultimately did not see the light of day, but Éric Judor recounts the broad outlines and the brilliant concept in the latest Floodcast.

Guest in the last Floodcast (the very funny podcast by Florent Bernard and Adrien Ménielle) for the release of the comedy A Stunning Christmas on Prime Video, Éric Judor returned to Middle Man, a film by Michel Hazanavicius in which he was to play with his friend Ramzy Bedia. But the project never saw the light of day (in 2016, Judor explained to Three colours that the producer had them “ planted, and the film was not made “). Until now, the synopsis had never really been revealed. At the Floodcast microphone, he says that the scenario unfolded “ on a planet where every year, there is a big ceremony to distribute superhero powers to nine heroes. And so Ramzy is chosen, he is in a toga, and a sort of great magician gives everyone a power. And I’m in the audience, I’m a guy who would love to have power. I jump and stand in front of Ramzy as he receives the power, and we receive it together. So we are “average”. Not bad, but average. There is one of the two that flies very high but at 30 km/h, a bit like a wasp, and another very fast but one meter from the ground. So we first give them a town in Brittany because we can’t give them Paris, and gradually, they will climb the ladder to land in Paris then go to New York. »

Instead of Middle ManÉric and Ramzy went to shoot Double Zero by Gérard Pirès, a comedy which suited them much less, by their own admission.
