With the selection of Daaaaaali! at the Venice Film Festival, the first news filter. Quentin Dupieux having barely released his surprise film Yannickhe will defend this project on the Lido in a few days, accompanied by his actors Jonathan Cohen (in the skin of the famous painter), Edouard Baer, ​​Anaïs Demoustier, Pierre Niney and Pio Marmaï.

The film’s technical sheet put online on the Mostra website also specifies that the director ofAt office ! called on Thomas Bangalter to compose the music for Daaaaaali!. Famous for being half of the Daft Punk duo, the artist appeared briefly in Realityby the same director, in 2015. A crazy comedy about cinema which was also worn by Elodie Bouchez, in a relationship in the city with Bangalter.

If the flagship duo of electronic music formed with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo separated in 2021, the artist continues to compose pieces, in particular for cinema and television – which they already did together, in particular on tron the legacyin 2010. Since the end of Daft Punk, Thomas Bangalter has participated in the soundtrack ofIn Body by Cédric Klapisch, and designed the entire series Irma Veep, created by Olivier Assayas for HBO. With this project by Quentin Dupieux, he once again joins forces with a renowned figure in French cinema to compose new titles.

Daaaaali! does not yet have a release date, but we know that Diaphana intends to distribute it in 2024 so as not to stick it too much to Yannick, which is currently in French theaters and is recording good scores. Here is its trailer:
