Tim Burton celebrates the end of Beetlejuice 2 filming

The film was already practically finished before the strike…

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Tim Burton can stop screaming. Her Beetlejuice2 is in the box. The director celebrates the end of filming with this very cool photo taken on the sets. It must be said that the film had almost completed production when the actors’ strike (SAG-AFTRA) began in July 2023, stopping work.

Buckled to “99%” at that time, according to Tim Burton himself, the team therefore returned to business for a few days, to finalize the remaining 1%. “I just finished filming Beetlejuice. Thanks to everyone involved” writes the filmmaker soberly in the comments.

Beetlejuice2, which the director describes as a family story, will see Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara returning to the cast, while Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe will complete the cast. Released September 24, 2024.
