Tim Burton to remake Attack of the 50 Foot Woman
An old SF horror film from 1958, whose poster has become totally cult!
It’s an absolutely cult yellow poster, even more so than the film itself. We see a giant woman in a train causing carnage on an American highway. Attack of the 50 Foot Woman is a sci-fi classic from Hollywood’s golden age. A legendary work, to which Tim Burton will attack.

According to Deadline, it will be a “reinvented story” more than a straight remake. The film will also be written by the writer Gillian Flynn, known for having written Gone Girl, Sharp Objects And Utopia.
In the original film, a woman transformed into a giant by an alien freaks out after seeing her husband in a bar with another woman…
HBO already made a remake in 1993, directed by Christopher Guest. Daryl Hannah then became the 50 foot woman.
It remains to be seen which actress will take on this iconic Hollywood role. Attack of the 50 Foot Woman does not yet have a release date.
