Timothy Olyphant joins the Aliens series

He should play a robot on Earth.

Star of the small screen for years, passed by Deadwoodby Santa Clarita Diet and more recently by The Mandalorian, Timothy Olyphant joins the cast of the next series Aliens created by Noah Hawley.

Deadline announces that he will be alongside Sydney Chandlerthe actress of Pistolrecently cast as the heroine of the show.

His character has not yet been officially revealed, but Olyphant is expected to play an android named Kirsh who will mentor Wendy, a meta-human, played by Chandler.

Series Aliens, for the FX channel, and will be the very first story in the horror saga taking place on Earth. According to Hawley, the series will explore the more concrete aspects of the franchise and will talk about the Weyland-Yutani corporation, which is found in almost all films and spin-offs.

Written and directed by Hawley, the cast will also feature Alex Lawther, Kit Young, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis and Adarsh Gourav. No date yet.
