Tobias Menzies tracks down Abraham Lincoln’s assassin in Manhunt (trailer)

Apple TV+ presents its new historical series. Manhuntadapted from the book by James L. Swanson, which recounts the hunt for Abraham Lincoln’s assassin, John Wilkes Booth (Anthony Boyle), continued by Edwin Stanton (Tobias Menzies), an experienced investigator. This hunt will lift the veil on a mixture of conspiracy and treason, during the bloody era of the History of the United States.

The trailer promises a gripping period thriller since Lincoln’s killer was a recognized actor who committed his misdeed openly in front of a full house. His achievement is to have managed to escape and go on the run despite all the parameters compromising him. The trailer also reveals a treatment of the period of conflict between the South and the North of the United States, still vivid after the Civil War.

The series is written by Monica Beletsky (Fargo) and produced by Carl Franklin (Dahmer), John Dahl (Last Seduction) And Eva Sørhaug (90 minutes). Manhunt will be available on Apple TV+ on March 15, 2024.
