Totally Spies in live action? A series project is underway

It was Will Ferrell’s company that was behind it.

But who could play Clover, Alex and Sam in the flesh? A series project totally spies in live action is officially in development at Amazon MGM Studios.

It is the company of Will FerrellGloria Sanchez Productions, which is carrying out this project to adapt the cartoon which has existed for two decades and which has just been relaunched in May 2024 on Gulli in France for a new season, which will soon arrive in the rest of the world on Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids.

Because like Miraculous, totally spies is a French hit all over the world.

The live-action series will still follow Clover, Alex and Sam as they “save the world while trying to survive college life in their first year of college” already teases the synopsis of the project.

“Will, Alix and I are thrilled to join our partners at Amazon and Banijay in bringing this to life totally spies in the form of a live action series. Gloria Sanchez was originally founded to tell stories about complex characters and empower female voices and storytellers. As long-time fans of the animated series, we couldn’t think of a story more suited to our ethos. The themes of girl power, of never sacrificing friendship, fun, or your true self for success, resonated with us and seem ripe for revisiting now.” explains producer Jessica Elbaum in a press release.
