Toxic Avenger: the deadly trailer for the remake with Peter Dinklage

The story of an oppressed janitor who, after falling into a vat of toxic waste, becomes a masked… and bloody avenger.

Hot on the heels of its big world premiere at Fantastic Fest 2023, the craziest avenger film of the year delivers its trailer. Toxic Avengerwith Peter Dinklage in the shoes of the title hero, promises a deadly reinvention of the 1984 classic.

In the video in question, we discover how Toxic Avenger easily overcomes a group of hostage takers called the Nasty Lads, not without some bloodshed.

Let us point out that in the remake by Malcolm Blair, the “hero” is no longer young Melvin Junko but a maintenance worker named Winston Gooze. Elijah Wood will play supervillain Fritz Garbinger, who shares a disturbing resemblance to Danny DeVito’s The Penguin in Batman: The Challenge (Tim Burton, 1992).

Toxic Avenger will follow “a hideously deformed creature of superhuman size and strength all its own”according to the synopsis. “Peter Dinklage plays downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze who, after falling into a vat of toxic waste, becomes none other than the Toxic Avenger.”

The rest of the cast will bring together Jacob Tremblay in the role of Winston Gooze’s stepson; Taylour Paige as JJ. Doherty and Kevin Bacon as supervillain Bob Garbinger, a chemical tycoon and brother of Fritz Garbinger.

The Toxic Avenger does not yet have a planned release date in France.
