True Detective 4 finally has a date: the frozen trailer promises a new sordid investigation

Cold snap for Jodie Foster ! Long-awaited season 4 of True Detective finally has a release date. HBO unveils the nighttime trailer for the new investigation, the aptly named “Night Costnry” which will take place in the icy setting of the American state.

True Detective: Night Country will be released on Monday January 15, 2024 in France on Prime Video via the Warner Pass, 24 hours after its American broadcast on HBO.

Made up of six episodes, it will feature Jodie Fosterinvestigator alongside Kali Reis. “As a long winter night falls on the town of Ennis, Alaska, the eight men in charge of the Tsalal Arctic research station disappear without a trace” reveals the synopsis. “To solve this case, the Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to overcome their own demons and probe the eternal ice in search of the deepest secrets.

Finn Bennett, Fiona Shaw and Christopher Eccleston complete the cast.

This season 4 is written and directed by Issá Lopez (Tigers Are Not Afraid), with help from Alan Page Arriaga for the screenplay. She will co-produce alongside Barry Jenkins (Moonlight), but also the stars of season 1, McConaughey And Harrellson, who return as executive producers. The historic creator of True Detective, Nic Pizzolatto, has been sidelined and is no longer directly attached to the creation of this sequel.
