Vermin: spiders multiply in the new trailer

Théo Christine and Jérôme Niel are starring in Sébastien Vaniček’s first feature film.

After a dark and enigmatic teaser, Vermin is revealed a little more in a first trailer. This is certainly the first feature film of Sébastien Vaniček, but he has around fifteen years of experience in the field of short films. With gems of genres like Mayday, Fangs, Do not move And holo (all available on the platform Shadowz), the filmmaker trained his hand and worked on a dark aesthetic with already a slight obsession with killer animals. In Fangs And Do not movethey are dogs, in Vermin spiders.

Stuck in his suburban city, Kaleb (Theo Christine) has a strange passion for exotic critters. One day he brings home a new specimen of spider. It will flee and multiply, causing a dangerous invasion of deadly arachnids, which have the unfortunate tendency to become bigger and bigger. The city is quarantined and Kaleb will have to count on the help of his neighbors Lila (Sofia Lesaffre), Mathis (Jerome Niel), Manon (Lisa Nyarko) and Jordy (Finnegan Oldfield) to survive.

The year 2023 seems to mark a great vintage for French genre cinema and Vermin adds its stone to the building with its theatrical release on December 27.
