Vin Diesel is accused of sexual assault by his former assistant

Asha Jonasson is taking aim at the Fast Five actor and producer, as well as another member of her company, One Race. Vin’s sister allegedly fired her right after the incident.

Asha Jonasson just filed a complaint against Vin Diesel for sexual assault. The facts date back to 2010, on the sidelines of the filming of Fast Five in Atlanta. The young woman was then one of the assistants of the actor and leading producer of the saga, and she would have refused his advances, before he cornered her against a wall to masturbate against her.

The complaint, shared in its entirety by Variety, is very detailed: she says she was taken by the star to his hotel room at the St. Regis, but that she asked him to stop when he invited her into his bed. Getting up to go to the door, she was then stopped by the actor, who grabbed her breasts. To kiss her chest, he allegedly tried to take off her underwear, which caused her to flee into the bathroom screaming, she said. He then allegedly blocked her forcibly against a wall, then forced her to touch his erect penis before masturbating against her.

“Miss Jonasson was unable to escape, we then read. She closed her eyes, for fear of angering Vin Diesel by rejecting him further, she tried to dissociate herself from what was happening to her, hoping that this aggression would stop. She also explains that she was shocked by the behavior of another producer from Vin Diesel’s company, One Race, whom she does not name, but who also allegedly gave her a professional meeting in his room in the same hotel, allegedly lay shirtless on his bed and asked him to join her. She said she immediately left the scene.

In the rest of the complaint, we learn that Samantha Vincent, Vin Diesel’s sister, who is the head of this same company, allegedly called Asha Jonasson to fire her just a few hours after the attack. “It is clear that she was fired because she no longer had any use: Vin Diesel had satisfied his sexual desires and she had resisted his assaults, continues his lawyer. Miss Jonasson felt like a worthless person, received no support and had her self-esteem destroyed. She began to question her talents, and wondered if in order to be successful in her career, she would have to share her body.

Faced with this particularly detailed complaint, Bryan Freedman, Vin Diesel’s lawyer, immediately published a press release affirming that all of this was false: “Let me be very clear: Vin Diesel categorically denies all of this. This is the first time he has heard of this, more than 13 years later, and the complaint comes from an employee who only stayed for 9 days in office. There is evidence that completely refutes this unfounded complaint.”

California justice will have to decide, since Asha Jonasson’s complaint has been officially registered.
