Wednesday goes ahead of Stranger Things: Netflix changes the calculation of its audiences

Wednesday: filming of season 2 is planned for soon

Netflix can finally restart the machine. After months of strike, filming will resume, with Stranger Things 5but also with season 2 of Wednesday.

According to the American press, the continuation of the series which made Jenna Ortega 1 superstar will be filmed next spring. The first shots will take place in April 2024, and they will be on the Irish side. The production has in fact decided to leave Romania, where the eight episodes of season 1 were filmed, between September 2021 and March 2022. We do not yet know what this means exactly for the story, but this change of scenery still suggests that season 2 of Wednesday risks leaving behind the Nevermore Academy, omnipresent in season 1.

It is not yet known whether Tim Burton will return to direct new episodes of the series developed by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

Wednesday broke audience records last year, with 341 million hours watched. It was renewed in January 2023 by Netflix.
