The New Year is coming, so Netflix shares its new features coming in January. With a particular focus on five of them. Here are the details.

Griselda – January 25

Sofia Vergara, the star of Modern Familybecomes the boss of a Colombian cartel for the creator of Narcos: Mexico, Eric Newman. Six 50-minute episodes are planned to tell the violent journey of this “Black Widow” : “Devoted mother, she is the deadly mix of charm and savagery”warns the synopsis.

The Snow Circle – January 4

After having amazed us with The Orphanage, The Impossible Or A few minutes after midnight, Juan Antonio Bayona returns to Netflix with a moving survival drama based on an incredible true story in the middle of the Andes mountain range. We won’t tell you more so as not to spoil the experience, but get out the tissues: this story is as crazy as it is tragic.

The Sun Brothers – January 4

Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once ) also plays the boss of a mafia network in this series by Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu“Mama Sun” is the head of the Jade Dragons gang, and the trailer promises to delight fans of action and martial arts!

During the flight – January 12

Kevin Hart is the star of Ocean’s Eleven from Netflix, directed by F. Gary Gray (Fast and Furious 8 And The Italian Job…). Also starring Jean Reno, Sam Worthington and Vincent D’Onofrio, this thriller will tell the story of the heist of a plane, as its name suggests, in mid-flight. Just that.

Glutons & Dragons – January 4

Ryoko Kui published this funny fantasy story in manga form for almost ten years, from 2014 to 2023. Now that it is completed on paper, her fans will certainly be delighted to rediscover it in anime form. We follow Laios, a young man whose sister was kidnapped by dragons. Surrounding themselves with friends to try to save her, they will quickly discover that without provisions, their worst enemy will perhaps ultimately not be flying creatures, but… hunger.

In addition to these five new features, Netflix will also put some French hits online, such as Tomorrow it all beginswith Omar Sy, the 1st, The Cloudby Just Philippot, or Freely !with Adèle Haenel and Pio Marmaï, on the 5th, or even My strangera pretty rom-com led by François Civil and Joséphine Japy.
