Will Steven Spielberg’s Bullitt with Bradley Cooper be made?

“I hope we will have a script soon…”

One year later The Fabelmanshe still hasn’t started filming again. Steven Spielberg nevertheless has a concrete project in its sights, namely the remake of Bullittwith Bradley Cooper who would take over the role of Steve McQueen.

Producer Kristie Macosko Krieger takes stock in GamesRadar+ and explains that the idea did not fall through, even if it is still far from being filmed:

“I’m going to produce it. Steven Spielberg is currently working on the story with Josh Singer, who is writing the screenplay. I hope we will have a script soon, because the writers’ strike has put us a little behind schedule. But they are working on it. I couldn’t tell you if this is the next film we’ll make because I don’t know at the moment. But I think it will make for an extremely entertaining film.”

The film Bullitt by Spielberg was announced in February 2022, a remake of the 1968 classic which he describes as being “more of a new idea centered around the character of Lieutenant Frank Bullitt.”

In the meantime, it is the Spielberg producer that we will find in January for Masters of the Airthe Apple TV+ event series.
