Young Sheldon spin-off made official by CBS

The network orders a spin-off series about the eldest of the Cooper family, Georgie.

After the announcement of the end of the spin-off of The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, rumors from the corridors assured that CBS was not finished with the Cooper family. A rumor that the network confirmed this Tuesday via an Instagram post repeating the article from Deadline. In the caption of the publication:

“The adventures of the Cooper family continue! Get ready to watch Georgie and Mandy raise their little family in Texas, while managing the challenges of adulthood, young parents and marriage.”

This new addition to the CBS catalog is planned for the 2024-2025 season and Montana Jordan And Emily Osment will resume their roles.

And they won't be the only ones to come back for this new adventure. Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro And Steve Holland will resume the producer hats that they have not taken off since the production of the original series.

This new series (which does not yet have a title), will mark Chuck Lorre's eighth collaboration with CBS after My uncle Charlie, The Big Bang Theory And Young Sheldon, among others. The three creators claimed to be “very excited to continue to develop the Cooper story through the lens of Georgie and Mandy”.

Size difference with Young Sheldonhowever, this spin-off will take up the device of the sitcom “multi-camera” like the parent series The Big Bang Theoryrather than imitating the model “single-camera” of Young Sheldon.
