Zack Snyder could launch a series adapted from 300

The film that defined the Snyder style could turn into a prequel series currently under discussion.

The genesis of the Spartans? The film 300 of Zack Snyderwhich created a huge buzz in 2006, bringing in $450 million at the worldwide box office and above all establishing the Snyder style, could be entitled to a television version.

Warner Bros. Television is currently working on a series 300. Variety announces that a “agreement is still being negotiated” with Zack Snyderfor him to direct and produce this series 300. Deborah Snyder would also be there.

So what would it be about? The details of the plot remain secret for the moment, but according to the first echoes, it would be a prequel series, the events of which would take place before those of the original film. Gerard Butler should therefore not return.

It must be remembered that 300 chronicles the conflict between Persia, led by King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Greece and focused specifically on the legendary Battle of Thermopylae, where the Spartans stopped the invader. 300 was originally a Dark Horse comic book series created by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley (1998).

A suite 300: Rise of an Empirewhich serves as both a prequel and a sequel to 300 was released in 2014, directed by Noam Murro and carried by Eva Green.

No screenwriter is yet attached to the new series 300.
