Zack Snyder wouldn’t hesitate to work with Amber Heard again

“I don’t know how to react when I hear people say they hate her,” says the Justice League director.

During an interview for The Hollywood Reporter, Zack Snyder revealed that he did not understand the relentlessness suffered by Amber Heardduring and after her trial with her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

The 57-year-old director had collaborated with the actress in Justice League (2017), in which she plays Mera, a character from the comics. Then she reprized this role in the film Aquaman (2018) directed by James Wan. The actress’s personal trial then took place in full preparation for its sequel, The Lost Kingdomwhich will be released in a few days in cinemas.

“I don’t understand. I don’t know how to react when I hear people say they hate her. I would not hesitate to work with her again.“, testifies Zack Snyder.

In the Washington Post, Amber Heard had confided to being “bombarded” from all sides by attacks from supporters of Johnny Depp. The actress assured that her career took a turn after their separation. The latter has since explained that she had to fight to maintain her role as Mera.

“It was difficult for me to work. I have been harassed, I am harassed in my daily life, I receive death threats.“, affirmed the actress.

Zack Snyder claims to be a fan of Amber Heard. He would be ready to put her back in the spotlight.

As a collaborator in the DC Cinematic Universe, Zack Snyder made films like Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and so Justice League – the filmmaker also confided that he is, to this day, still in contact with the casting, in particular with Ezra Millerknown for his recent scandals due to his psychological disorders.

“Ezra Miller did a beautiful job on the Flash movie. It’s very difficult to play against yourself“, says the director.

For Wired, Zack Snyder also spoke about his previous time-consuming activity which he was forced to abandon to take up pottery, prescribed by his wife Deborah Snyder:

“I played too much Fortnite. I’m pretty good at Fortnite, In fact. You know, I was playing at 3 a.m. and my wife said to me: ‘Are you seriously playing Fortnite at 3 a.m., against 12 year olds?’ My character’s costume is Mr. Meeseeks from Rick & Morty. If you were killed by Mr. Meeseeks, it might have been me!“

While waiting for him to perfect his new activity (pottery), Zack Snyder does not give up his director’s apron, since he plans to return to the forefront of the superhero scene for a very specific project: The Dark Knight Returns.
